I’m stepping a little outside of my normal style to post about a meal I recently cooked. I am always interested in recreating the foods most think they can only get at restaurants (it’s an easy way to wow dinner guests). That being said, I was excited to stumble upon Diana’s Appetite For China blog and even more excited to read about her virtual potluck contest.

I decided to make Kung Pao Tofu. In her post, Diana shows why she is so good at writing about cooking, and in this post I prove that I’m entirely new at this sort of thing. Regardless, the meal turned out great and I definitely intend to make it again soon. Click on each photo for captions!

This recipe and more can be found in The Chinese Takeout Cookbook - go buy it in triplicate! : http://www.amazon.com/The-Chinese-Takeout-Cookbook-Prepare/dp/034552912X

These pictures always remind me of when adults dress up their children for an important event (wedding, reunion, etc.).  The clothes are there, but they are draped over what seem like adult children whose perusal of excellence has robbed them of being real humans, only billboards for some sort of idealized lifestyle.  Except Wiggins, I think he’s got it.

Khan Academy Releases New App for iPhone & iPod Touch
Your thirst for knowledge continues to find new and innovative ways to be quenched.
Khan Academy videos may not be 100% perfect in the eyes of every educator, but they stand as the most comprehensive online classroom on Earth. With this app, looks like getting smarter, supplementing your classes, and working at your own pace just got a whole lot easier. No idea what the status of an Android app is, but I would imagine it’s in the works.
